Almost since Addison could walk we have been doing mommy and me gymnastics together, but now that she is 3 there is a whole new set of options for classes and she can go by herself. No more mommy and me which makes me kind of sad but also excited to have reached a new milestone. Since she already does gymnastics with her class at school 2 days a week we decided to give dance a try. Fortunately she can go to dance at the JCC on Thursday with all of her friends from school, unfortunately I am still at work and can't go watch. I was randomly off this past Thursday and got to take her to class - it was wonderful. Although she clearly was not listening to the teacher on multiple occasions and when all of the other kids were sitting up straight and pointing their toes, Addison was the kid sitting all slouched and just watching the other kids follow the teacher's instruction (she gets the slouching from her mother!) we can tell she really enjoys the class since her dancing at home as increased significantly.
I didn't get a picture on Thursday, but here is an older one from the fall when we started classes at the Bellaire Rec with Emily. 3 classes into it they canceled the class, but we got to keep the outfit!
And here is a pic of our little gymnast from early January -- she does this all by herself and I've repeatedly asked that she not do it on the hard floor, but she is fearless. Fortunately she has a hard head and it definitely wouldn't be the first time she hit it on this floor.
